Project: Dewitt Clinton Elementary School (Chicago, IL)

​​Throughout the summers of 2018 & 2019, J.Gill and Company worked on various areas of the Dewitt Clinton Elementary School on the North-side of Chicago. The original brick school structure opened in 1926. Many unique and modern repair methods were used to restore the structural integrity of the building, including Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) fabrics. Various concrete repairs were performed; façade repairs, wall repairs, floor & ceiling repairs, beam repairs, concrete floor joist repairs, etc. A large quantity of epoxy crack injection was also performed. This particular project incorporated a strict work schedule to get as much work done as possible in the short period of time when students were away for summer break & holidays, while using night & off-hours as well.  J.Gill and Company completed the scope of work in the early fall of 2019. ​​
